How To Practice The Law Of Attraction

The Law of Attraction is all about aligning your thoughts and actions into what you want to happen in your life. It practices the success principle of 'what you think about, you bring about'. This success strategy really gained prominence thanks to the movie The Secret, which had its 'world premier' in March 2006.

Since then, millions of people all over the globe have applied the universal Law of Attraction into their daily lives and proclaim that their lives have been better ever since. So, should you be practicing the Law of Attraction as well?

You Cannot Escape the Law of Attraction...

One of the great things about the universal Law of Attraction is that its tenets are not hard to put into practice at all! In fact, many people say that the biggest secret in the movie The Secret is that its doctrines are not classified at all! The underlying principles of the Law of Attraction have been with us - ready to be practiced - all this time. So why then have we abandoned these steps to success?

Life happened and somehow, somewhere, people started believing that they do not deserve happiness. As such, people wake up afraid to expect the best and prepare for the worse. Do you see that this is still the Law of Attraction working? By THINKING that the worse will happen, people are bringing about problems to themselves. So kick the habit! Do expect the best and the best will happen to you.

Practicing the Law of Success from the movie The Secret Morning till Night

Here are some simple tips so you can start living the Law of Attraction and start attracting success into every aspect of your life.

Practice the attitude of gratitude the minute you wake up.
Nothing can be a better caffeine kick than happiness so why not start your day with this Law of Attraction exercise: remember all the wonderful things you are (or ought to be) grateful for. Even on a subconscious level, a lot of people live as if they are 'victims' instead of 'drivers' of life. Avoid this trap by starting each day with thoughts of how great and beautiful your life is at the moment. This mental exercise will 'set the stage' of more beautiful things to come.

Pay it forward.
The universe is not all about you. The Law of Attraction is based on the universal law of cause and effect and nothing can be more positively powerful than doing a good deed for someone. You don't have to go out and save lives but simple things such as helping an elderly cross the street or lift something, or help someone who's lost in your area can do wonders on two levels: firstly, you WILL feel good about yourself and if you're happy, the universe will smile back at you in one form or another; secondly, the person you assisted will think happy thoughts of you too further attracting positive vibes!

Align your outer world with your inner world.
As mentioned in the movie The Secret, you cannot cheat the universe. Even if you think or say you're ready for happiness and success, the way you live, dress and act is the true measure. So synchronize your intentions and your actions. For instance, if you want that better-paying job, don't just wish for it; act on it! Prepare a knock-out resume, network with other people, change your wardrobe and dress for success, improve the appearance of your smile and more! Life success is not handed out, it is the end based on your means.

End the day with 'Happy Thoughts'!
At the end of the day, do this simple Law of Attraction exercise: imagine yourself living a certain 'moment'. For example, in the romance department, close your eyes and envision that romantic dinner with your special someone (regardless if you already have a special someone or not!). Is your goal to purchase a new home? Close your eyes and picture yourself tending the garden at the back of your new home or sitting down and reading a book in your new home's living room. Remember, what you think about... you bring about.

The Law of Attraction, as advocated in the movie The Secret, is one of the most powerful doctrines we are made aware of (again) now. So grab this remarkable opportunity to make your life a success. Make each day count by living this success system that never fails.

Attracting Success

We all wish to be successful and yet somehow many seem to be missing the target. In this post I will show you how to become more successful in all your endeavors.

Success often eludes many people. Like the inevitable pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, people set their hearts on following their dreams only to wake up disappointed.

Disappointment can be crushing to people. They sit and wonder what on earth they did wrong. They may have a strong belief in that pot of gold, but a dream alone cannot make your visions a reality.

You may have read a myriad of books and followed all the rules and imagined yourself as the successful person that you want to be. Your vision may be crystal clear and that is a good thing. The Bible says, “Without a vision the people perish”.

The problem remains that envisioning yourself as successful is not enough.

What are your dreams?
What are you hopes for the future?
Have you ever written them down?

If you could be anything that you wanted to be and go where you wanted to go, who would you be? What would you be like? Where would you be living?

I want you to take a few moments now and write down the answer to these questions. Be as specific as you can so you can visualize these things as being true today. Crystallize these ideals in your mind.

Don’t cheat here, this is an important exercise, now go and write the answers down on a piece of paper, or better still in a book. You can call this your Dream Book to Success.

Now ask yourself this question: What do I need to do in order to live the life I dream of?

What do I need to do to make my dreams a reality?

The first step is to make sure you do not put off the vision too far in the distance. Don’t live on tomorrow’s sunshine. At the same time, don’t expect to have a change overnight. There is no magic pill that is going to bring about your dream. There is no easy road that will bring you to the Emerald City.

Someone once said “the road to success is filled with hard knocks” and this is reality.

You CAN achieve your dreams only if you systematically prepare yourself to receive them. You also must believe that you CAN receive them.

Henry Ford said, “If you think you can you can, and if you think you can’t, you can’t”

If you believe that you CAN achieve your dreams then it’s time for you to start planning on how you are going to make your dreams of success come true. Don’t let fear sabotage your thinking. If you have faith, you can move mountains! Sometimes though a mountain must be moved a piece at a time.

This takes planning. No amount of wishful thinking will get you what you want. Your vision may be crystal clear but with out a plan it’s just a dream. You need to plan your life in order to get the results you wish for.

You need to set goals for yourself. I know, you hate the thought of setting goals, but unless you put it down in writing and give it a date, it won’t happen. I can guarantee it.

Do you see yourself as slim and sitting on a beach somewhere? Well if you need to lose weight, dreaming isn’t going to make it happen. You must write down your goal for losing weight.

In order for my dream to come true I must lose __________ pounds. This is a good start. Now visualize yourself standing in front of a mirror weighing your perfect weight. Doesn’t that feel good?

This is your target, your dream, your vision. Now ask yourself, in order to reach that goal, what steps do I need to take today. Is it reasonable to say to yourself that you could lose 10 pounds a month? Too much? How about 4 pounds a month? Can you make a decision to yourself to lose 1 pound a week. In a year that would be 52 pounds! If you lost 2 pounds a week that would be 104 pounds! See how much you can do by breaking your goals down to bite size pieces. Your mountain can literally be moved piece by piece, or pound by pound in this example. Voila ! Success!

There is nothing mystical in making your dreams a success. In every situation you can do it piece by piece until your mountain is moved and you achieve the success you want.

Gratitude and The Law of Attraction

The more we learn about using the Law of Attraction consciously in our lives, the more we understand that our emotional state determines our vibrational frequency, which attracts the quality of experiences we have. With this knowledge comes the understanding that feeling good (happy, joyful, enthusiastic, optimistic) will attract more of the same into our lives.

But is it really possible to feel good all the time? How do we deal with life's little (and not so little) annoyances? Are we supposed to live in a state of denial and take on a Pollyanna attitude? What about the devastating life experiences that shake us to our core, such as the death of a loved one or a natural disaster? How is it possible to remain in a positive emotional state when laboring under feelings of grief and despair?

The short answer is: it's not only difficult, but also detrimental to us to do so.

Our feelings are real. Trying to deny them or smooth them over with blanket statements of positive focus won't help us resolve them at a core level. Instead, it's important to honor our feelings and work through them in a positive and productive manner. How? By admitting that we feel rotten, and allowing ourselves to feel that way. It's okay to feel angry, sad, or hurt when something awful happens!

The best gift we can give ourselves is the opportunity to feel our feelings, genuinely and deeply. When you feel sad about something, let yourself feel sad. Embrace the feelings, and move through them. Write in a journal about why you're sad, and express the feelings rising up within you. Write out your rage, your pain, your grief. Scream your fury to the universe. It is only by moving through your feelings that you can come out of them eventually.

Having said that, we must also reach a point when we choose to step out of our misery and feel hopeful again. We must eventually turn our focus to thoughts of healing and peace. Continuing to stay mired in pain for an excessive amount of time can be just as detrimental as denying our pain altogether. What is considered an "excessive" amount of time? Only you can say. Your grief process might last a few days, or a few years. Simply stay tuned in to yourself, your thoughts, your emotions, and you'll know when you're beginning to move out of the grief process.

What about the smaller annoyances we deal with on a daily basis? This is the more common struggle for most of us. How do we stay positive when facing traffic jams, rude people, misbehaving children, inconsiderate spouses, demanding bosses, financial challenges, and repeated feelings of frustration that we just can't seem to get it together?

Though these experiences seem overwhelming, they are actually the most simple to deal with if you shift your perspective slightly. The best tool I've discovered for dealing with frustration is the ability to choose what I focus on.

Let's use an example to demonstrate this concept. Let's say you're running late for work and you have an important meeting to attend when you get there. You dash to your car, praying for a quick, easy ride to work so you can be on time for your meeting. Shortly after you leave home, you run into a big traffic jam. Cars are moving slower than molasses, and you sit there behind the wheel feeling angry and frustrated because you know you're going to be late for your meeting, which will bring on some unpleasant comments from your boss, and probably ruin your chances for the promotion you were hoping to get. The more you follow this line of thought, the more angry and frustrated you will become. So what can you do to turn this situation around?

Here are the techniques I've found most helpful in frustrating circumstances:

1) Intend a different outcome.

Remember that your focus will attract a corresponding result! You're already stuck in the traffic jam, so denying it would be futile. However, does the existence of a traffic jam have to bring about the negative consequences you envisioned? Not necessarily. You are making assumptions about what this experience will mean to you. If you instead choose to make it mean something else, you can actually change the outcome. How? Try affirming something like this: "Even though traffic seems to be moving slowly, I KNOW I will arrive at work exactly on time. The universe is working with me to create the most beneficial outcome possible." The trick is to put your full faith into this affirmation, and not let yourself become filled with doubt or worry. Then, any number of things could happen to support your new belief. Traffic might begin moving more quickly because the obstruction is cleared, or you might still arrive at work a few minutes late only to discover that your boss and several other coworkers were also late because of the traffic jam, so the meeting begins later than planned.

2) Choose to feel good anyway!

This is a little more challenging, but the more you do it the better you get at it. Simply choose to turn your thoughts to a more positive place. Rather than dwelling on your frustration, find something to feel good about and focus on it. Think about your loved ones, pets, or friends. Recall a happy memory that makes you laugh out loud. Carry some uplifting audio books in your car so you can listen to them when you need a boost. Turn your attention firmly away from thoughts that increase your worry and irritation, and toward thoughts that make you feel happy.

It seems difficult to overcome negative thoughts and feelings, but it's really as simple as choosing your focus moment to moment, day after day. The more practice you get at feeling good overall, the more you'll find yourself able to step calmly over minor irritations, and deal effectively with bigger issues.

Foundations Of The Law Of Attraction

The Lord Buddha said “All that we are is the result of what we have thought", the Darby Bible Translation tells us that Job, 3: 25 of the old testament, declared, “For I feared a fear, and it hath come upon me, and that which I dreaded hath come to me.” It seems that both Buddha and Job understood the eternal workings of the Law Of Attraction. However, unlike the enlightened Buddha, Job, like the majority of people today, suffered the dire consequences of not using this law to his advantage!

The Law Of Attraction at its very basic level states that everything is created by thought and that thought attracts to itself, physical things, people, situations and circumstances. Your thoughts are attracting these things in this very moment!

However, we do not just create and attract the material things that enter our lives, we also create the body we occupy, the personality we display and, ultimately, the person we are and we do it all through our thoughts. Are you creating the life you desire & becoming the person you wish to be or are you like Job and bringing upon you all manner of woes because you are giving your attention to them? Perhaps you are even identifying yourself as a victim and refusing to acknowledge the Law and use it consciously!

The Law Of Attraction is not as big a Secret, as the hit movie would have you believe. It has been around since the dawn of time and is an unbending, ever-present rule of the Universe. You cannot escape it! There is a great body of evidence that suggests mankind has known about, and utilised, the great Law for about 7000 years. However, the teaching of universal truths did become clouded for many hundreds, if not thousands, of years by greedy self-serving dogmatists that wished to keep control of the masses and was actually banned at one point.

It was largely at the beginning of the 20th century that the general public started to become aware of this great law due to the diligence, fortitude, integrity and grace of writers such as James Allen (1864-1912), Napoleon Hill (1883-1970) and Charles Haanel (1866-1949).

Wallace D. Wattles (1860 – 1911) was another pioneer of free thinking. In his great work “The Science of Getting Rich” Wattles states a great truth, “There is a thinking stuff from which all things are made, which, in its original state, permeates, penetrates, and fills the interspaces of the universe. A thought in this substance produces the thing that is imaged by the thought.” How revolutionary that statement was in 1910.

Haanel set out in a 24 part correspondence course, which is now condensed into one volume called “The Master Key System“, a complete guide to successfully using the Law Of Attraction! It was banned by the Church in 1933 due to its revelations. This is allegedly the book Bill Gates read before he created Microsoft!

Napoleon Hill revealed Andrew Carnegie’s great Secret to the world - that thoughts create things - when he wrote “Think & Grow Rich” in 1937 (although it had taken him 25 years to complete).

James Allen wrote his famous work in 1912 and in “As a Man Thinketh” he tells people that “mind is the master-weaver, both of the inner garment of character and the outer garment of circumstance, and that, as they may have hitherto woven in ignorance and pain they may now weave in enlightenment and happiness.”

However, although the teachings have been around for thousands of years and they have been readily and easily available to the general public for almost a century the great majority of people do not take the time to learn the workings of probably the most powerful physical law in the Universe.

I think you owe it to yourself to delve deeper into this mysterious Universe and learn as much as you can about the laws that govern your life. When you truly understand the Law Of Attraction and begin to work with it for you personal advantage, I promise you, your life will change in fantastic, unexpected and unlimited ways.

Begin now to utilise this gift and construct in your imagination the life you really want to live. Seek out ways to remove your own inner resistance and limiting beliefs.

Start to use the Law Of Attraction today!

LOA - The Law of Attraction

Everyone’s been talking about it – heck, you are reading about it right here. What are they talking about? This phenomenon we call the Law of Attraction.

People always seem to ask the same question, does it really work? The answer – YES!

Absolutely, unquestionably, and eventually it always does when we apply the proceeding principal. .

What I am about to offer is what that next step is. It is a very common word, that when applied, along with the attraction principle, will bring you what you desire even faster…the word is - ACTION!

All successful people understand that simply ‘wishing’ for something is great. It gets the ball rolling, so to speak, and opens our minds and hearts to the possibility of something special.

Now combine that with positive, forward thinking, action steps and you can attain anything you have your sights set on at an amplified speed.

It works like this…
Imagine someone sitting in their living room and saying to themselves, “I would LOVE a fruit tree in the backyard.”

Well, that’s great – and it puts the law into motion.

(Let me ask you, what would it take to make that desire materialize right away?)

They would go to the local nursery, and pick up a fruit tree, drive it home, dig a hole, fertilize it, keep it watered along with weeds away from its roots….right?

Then after an incubation period of about two years, it blooms, and produces fruit….and what do you know?

Viola! You have yourself a fruit tree in your backyard.

Sure, you manifested it and applied the laws of attraction (heck you are the one who wanted it in the first place); but then you did something many are simply not willing to do …you took action!

You put the Law of Attraction INTO action!

So many people miss this key ingredient.

They may desire wealth, romance, security, happiness, etc…and believe they will receive it overnight.

If that was so, everyone would win the lottery that plays each time, or fall in love whenever they left the house.

As we know, life does not work that way.

We have to take certain steps in order to have our dreams fulfilled, such as learn to budget and open an investment program, or enroll into a dating service, etc…

You are a smart person; that is why you are reading this right now…you want to move forward and are willing to open your mind to new ideas.

Here is my suggestion.

Within these pages, you will find an abundance of ideas to create a vision of what is important to you. Once you have the clarity of what that something is –

Write beside it what action steps you could take right now, today, to move closer to making that dream a reality.

Then do something crazy –

Take Action, and make it so.

Your very own fruit tree is waiting for you; now roll up your sleeves, and get to digging…before you know it, you’ll be enjoying the sweet fruit of your efforts, too!
